Worry about nothing

Happy Wednesday!!  It's time for another challenge from The House That Stamps.  This one might be a bit of a challenge: Clean and Simple 1 layer card

And here is the card I created:

One layer cards can be really difficult.  You either have to be really good OR add a lot of details so it looks much more interesting.  As you can see, I went with the second option.  I started with a flower stencil.  I inked it using Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides around the edges.  I stamped the frame image with Black Soot Distress Oxide and stamped the sentiment with the same ink.
For some beautiful sparkle, I added some gold shimmer Spectrum Noir ink to all the petals outside the frame.  You can see it in the photo above.  The sparkle is fabulous in real life!!  I finished it off with some sequins to which I added some silver stickles for even more sparkle!!  I added some stitched detail around the edges with a stitched rectangle die.

Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you head on over to The House blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has done with this challenge.  And if you "need" any of the stamps I used, check out my 10% off your entire order coupon code over in my lift sidebar.

This is stunning, beautiful stenciling, like how you just did the shimmer outside the frame, and the sentiment is fabulous!

You've created a beautiful one layer card, I just love the framed quote and the colourful petals - what a clever way to add depth to your art project. I also like how the faux stitching creates an imaginary layer. The shimmering effect of your flower is another great addition to your card, and I like how you "extended" it with the shimmering dots. Overall, a wonderful pick-me-up card, and I'm sure somebody will be very happy to receive it. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

Hugs, Veronika

Wow what a pretty one layer CAS card - seems like we all struggle with CAS that is except Laurie. Love how you used the frame - perfect to frame out the sentiment. You rocked this one.

That's beautiful, and a really unique stencil. It looks like there is an outline die over the flower but I can tell it it's really just one layer! Thank you for joining in at the Alphabet Challenge!

Wonderfully done. I like how you used the dot frame on this card to frame up the sentiment. Very creative.

Beautiful card. I like how you've added the gold shimmer only outside of the frame to create the nice contrast between the inside and outside of the frame. Thanks for joining us at STAMPlorations September Summer Challenge.
