Doggy Days

It's time for another What If? Wednesday Challenge from The House That Stamps Built.  Our color combo last week seems to have stumped most people, so maybe this week's challenge will be a little bit easier: Who Let the Dogs Out?
I don't own any dog stamps from Repeat Impressions, so I had to get a bit creative with this one.  But that's why it's a challenge, right?  It's supposed to get you thinking and being creative.  So, I pulled out a paw print embossing folder that I hadn't gotten a chance to use yet.  And I created a collar based on a card I came across on Pinterest (link will be at the bottom of the post).  I knew I wanted to use the "A Happy Hello" sentiment and with these bright, cheery colors, I think it is perfect for a dog.  Because dogs are always so happy and cheerful, and this card just makes me think of a young Black Lab ('cause that's what we have) bounding around giving a happy hello to everyone.
Here is a close up of the embossed portion:
And this is the card I got the idea from:
Now, head on over to The House Blog for the full details and to see what the rest of the DT came up with.

Supplies:
Stamps: Repeat Impressions "9717W Happy Hello"
Dies: Verve "Vintage Oval"
Darice paw print embossing folder

Challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown #289--Use Your Die cuts
{Pin}spirational Challenge #163--inspiration photo (I was inspired by the green and yellow colors)
Come And Get It--bright colours
Brown Sugar #193--anything goes
Cute Card Thursday #420--something shiny (eyelets and silver paper)
DRS Designs #221--to die for

Oh, Heather!!! This is so creative and inspiring!!! I love the "collar" idea and how you made it fit right in with the challenge without having any RI dog stamps.

Masterful. Love your interpretation of the DCC Challenge and as I also work at Sketch Saturday - love the use of the sketch this week! Such a marvelous idea. I haven't used a brad - no, it's been so long I've forgotten what those metal things are called. OMG. Anyway - so, so creative. Great entry.
