Butterflies galore

Happy April 1st!!  It's time for a new challenge on the Critter Crazy Challenge blog!  As always, it is a month long challenge: Anything Goes as long as you feature a creature.  Here is my card for your inspiration:

I went a little bit different than normal on this one.  I usually go with more animal animals, but as I was looking for something to use for the card, I came across this gorgeous butterfly cover plate die and decided to go with insect animal.  It took me a bit to get this to die cut well since it is so detailed, but the end result is worth it!!  I layered the die cut over a distressed patterned paper and added some stretchy lace trim--ruffling it onto some double sided-tape.  Then I added a die cut leaf stem and a beautiful flower I have had for ever!  I added some clear nuvo drops that kind of look like dew drops and I ended up with a pretty elegant card, I think!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hop on over to the Critter Crazy blog and check out the details and the rest of the projects from the Design Team.

Supplies:
Dies: Papertrey Ink butterfly cover plate die and "Turning a New Leaf" die
