Many thanks

Happy Wednesday!  Time for another challenge from The House That Stamps Built.  This week we have a wonderful inspiration photo for you:
No automatic alt text available.
Remember that you can use either the photo or the color combo or both as your inspiration.  This past weekend my husband and I sang in a Christmas concert.  We've been practicing for a month and a half twice a week and there was a woman there who ran the sound system for every practice and the concerts.  Not the easiest thing to do, so I wanted to give her a special little thank you and card.  I had an idea in my mind what I wanted to do for the card, and when I saw this inspiration photo I didn't think it was going to work with what I had in mind.  But, I had to go with it and this is what I came up with:
Part what I had in mind, part inspiration photo and ALL really fun!  If I do say so myself.  I used a puffy snow pen on the lamp and greenery and it adds some really great texture to the image.  I watched a video by Kathy Racoosin on making a plaid background and decided to give it a try.  I added some fun glittery stripes with a glitter gel pen.  You can see the sparkle in the photo below:
I hope you will play along with us this week (remember that you have all month to play along with our weekly challenges).  Oh, I almost forgot!!  The white die cut circle was in my bits and pieces stash; I wish it felt like I was making a dent in it, but not yet.  Maybe soon . . .

Oh Heather, I love it!! You've made me want that lamppost stamp (it will be on my wish list for next year!). Love the lightly stamped trees behind your lamppost, the puffy snow, and wow - you made your plaid background! Such a lovely card!

This is stunning, Heather. I love the plaid bg (I watched the video too but haven't had a chance to try it yet). The lady who gets this will treasure it. Fabulous way to take this inspiration. Love it. Merry Christmas!
