With all the details out of the way, here's my project.  I created a little gift bag and card combo for my husband's Step-Grandmother who's birthday is also this week.   Sit back and relax because this post is photo heavy!  I bought her this handmade goat's milk soap from a local farm.  Can you see all that lavender seed goodness on the top!?
Specially when I am giving a small gift, I really like to create some pretty packaging to go along with, so I made this cute little gift bag that is just the right size to hold the bar of soap.
Here is the closeup of the tag.  I recruited my oldest daughter to help with the flowers.  She punched out all the layers and then I showed her how to crumble them up until the fibers break down and you can separate the card stock into two layers.  It saved me a lot of time!!  Unfortunately, the photo doesn't show all 8 lovely, crumpled layers, but it is bit an fluffy.
And, of course, I had to make a coordinating birthday card.  My daughter also punched and crumbled the layers for this one.  The white definitely shows better in the pictures.
Because of the square shape of the card, I had to make my own envelope with my envelope punch board and I lightly stamped the image that goes with the leaf die I used on the card.
I used a small image from the same set to decorate the inside of the card, too:
And here is the picture of both the bag and card together:
Phew!!  You made it to the end!  Now you should head off to Megan Elizabeth's blog.  Thanks for stopping by!

What a lovely project! I love your comment that you HAD to create a bag just for the soap and an envelope for the card. Your relative should not just love the soap but all the time and effort you put into the thought and creation of it! Thanks for sharing with Unicorn Challenges. Barbara DT

Hi Heather! Now, what better way to celebrate a birthday than with music! What a beautiful set of musical note card and bag you've created! Very classic too with the black and white color combo. I also like how you layout the large flower on the side with the vine there. Beautiful inside sentiment as well. Heather, it is so lovely to be able to hop along with you to help Jo celebrates her big 5. Such fun! May you have a lovely rest of your weekend. Take care.
