Fancy Ornament

Happy Friday!  It's time for another challenge on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog and this time the challenge is to use one of the color combos used by the design team.  Our sponsor is Fred She Said and the prize is a $10 gift certificate to the store!

I would have to say that my favorite Christmas card scheme is blues and white (maybe with silver thrown in), but since a couple of the other DT ladies already chose those, I decided to use my all time favorite card color combo: pink and green.  I'm sorry that the green looks grey in the photo, but it is a nice mid tone soft green (ocean tides if anyone is familiar with PTI's cardstocks).  It's non-traditional I know, but is really quite gorgeous!
Hop on over to the CSAYL blog for all the details and to see the color combos you can choose from.  Then play along; I'd love to see your pink and green creations (hint, hint).

Challenges:
Jingle Belles--Home for the Holidays (I have the word "house" in my sentiment)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge--spread a little joy and love (from our house to yours)
Christmas Cards All Year Round--Christmas Extravaganza (make it fussy and fancy)

Supplies:
Stamps: Fred She Said "Christmas Ornament 2" digi; Verve "Ornamental Christmas" merry christmas and "Merry and Bright" sentiment
Dies: spellbinders fleur de lis squares die; Verve "Mini Classy Labels" die

Love the pink and green color scheme and the fact that you used nontraditional colors. Fabulous card!

I love everything about this card. And I'm glad I'm not the only one with "picture woes" -- seems I can't get the colors to show right either. No matter, your ornament and ribbon treatment are gorgeous. Thanks for joining us at Christmas Card Challenges this week.

Wonderful detail on the ornament! Just reading about your color issues. Try editing the photos a bit. Photobucket is free online. I can't say too much because 1/2 the time my photos are not the best ;>) As a pssst, you should put a watermark on your pic. You can add text in Photobucket. I was reading about people stealing others work to enter in to contests. :>( Makes me think I should make my watermark even bigger. So did you see my card this week? Ribbon and a button on the same card just to warn you so you don't go in to shock ;>)

Hi Heather

Love your Christmas card.

Pink is a great colour for a Christmas card. My favourite colour combo changes depending on who I am making the card for lol.
