My parents' anniversary is the day after Christmas and I created this sweet little card to help celebrate them! I was still feeling a bit in the Christmas mood, so I pulled out a lot of winter products and got busy creating. I started by stamping some white snowflakes on the navy card base and then swiping a bit of white ink around the edges of the panel. For the long vertical panel, I pressed white ink onto my snowflake embossing folder before embossing another piece of navy card stock. I added borders of silver glitter paper. I heat embossed my sentiment ("The very best love stories have no endings") with silver embossing powder and swiped white ink around the edges of the sentiment panel.
I stamped my snow couple (I had to do a little creative masking to take them from family to couple), colored the, and fussy cut them out. I added silver dots to the hat and shawl and a bit of clear wink of stella to the "fur" and the band on the top hat. You can see all the sparkle and shine in the photo below:
I added a little tiny rose red die cut heart to emphasize the "love" theme. Though I questioned my daughter when she said pink and I said red, I do like how this turned out with the compromise of the two colors.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will hop over to the House blog to see the rest of the DT's creations and then get inky and play along with us. And if you need any of the stamps I used, check out my 10% off your ENTIRE order coupon code over in my left sidebar.
