And here is the card I created:
Oooo . . . can you see what caught my eye? Yep, the map portion! I just love the color contrast between the land and the sea portion. And then, add in the red of the poinsettias?!! I'm in love! So, I tried to recreate that on my card. I started by inking a white die cut panel with sea and sand colors and some blender brushes and stamped the Metro map image over top. Then, I stamped, colored and fussy cut multiples of the poinsettia image. I placed them around the edge of my panel to find out what layout worked best, then used some Glad Press 'n Seal to keep them stuck in place while I die cut them into the same size as the inked panel. I attached foam squares to the back of each flower before placing them onto the inked panel. Since they were still attached to the Press 'n Seal, it was super easy to put them in exactly the right spot. I stamped the sentiment (actually I did this first before adding all the poinsettias) and added just a tiny bit of color to the globe image. I stamped the sentiment again onto a piece of kraft card stock, cut it out and popped it up with foam tape as well. I finished it all off with some gold nuvo drops in the open areas between the poinsettias.
