Swan Anniversary

The other day I made a card that will be posted on June 1st for a DT project.  That card uses these sweet little swans and while I had them out on my desk, I decided to create another card using them.  As a sneak peek for you, the gingham oval was left over from that other card.  It made the perfect backdrop for this adorable swan couple!  I added a waterlily from the same set, I also stamped a trio of hearts (from the set) and covered them with some nuvo enamel drops.

Then I finished the card off with two little white pearls.  Nice and easy and rather quick.

Supplies:
Stamps: Pretty Pink Posh "Pond Friends" images; MFT "Essential Sentiments" sentiment
Dies: Spellbinders "Classic Ovals, large"; MFT "Blueprints 12" stitched banner

Cards:
Pattie's Creations--anything goes
Use Your Stuff #483--inspired by water (I die cut a little wave for these sweet little swans to swim in)

Little Red Wagon #706--Flora or Fauna? (I used both; flora with the waterlily and fauna with the swans)

Love you to the Moon

Hello, everyone!  Here is a mid-challenge reminder for our Inspiration photo challenge over on the Creative Moments Challenge blog.  You still have almost 2 weeks to play along with us.  We have two sponsors and the image I used today came from Mirtillamente.  Here is my card:

For my inspiration card for the beginning of this challenge, I used the same image, but I printed it out large and used it to create a CAS card.  You can see it in my post here.  This time around, I printed it out in a much smaller size, and while it is still the star of the show, the other elements work along with it to create a much different card.  I created this card as a Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law.  Her favorite color is purple, so I made sure to use a lot of it!
Remember, you still have almost 2 weeks to play.  So, get inky and link up your creation; I can't wait to see what you create!

Mother's Day Wishes

Happy Friday!!!  It's time for a new challenge from the Cut It Up Challenge Blog.  This week, the challenge is: Flowers

Here is my card for your inspiration:
This was my card for my mother and it was the perfect way to use up some pretty patterned paper scraps.  When I saw this sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I knew I HAD to use it!  Unfortunately, I missed the deadline for entering the challenge, but I still wanted to give them credit for the sketch.

The photo below shows a lot of the scraps I used.
Some of the strips I just had to trim the bottoms off into a fishtail shape, some of them I die cut with a plain banner die, and the rest were die cut with a stitched banner die.  That way I could get banners that were different widths, which makes the layout more interesting.  I ended up switching out the white die cut flower for a yellow one; it fit the color scheme much better.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you will hop over to the Cut It Up blog for the full details of the challenge and to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.

Supplies:
Stamps: Verve "Happy Thoughts"
Dies: Papertrey Ink flower die; MFT "Blueprints 13" banner, "Blueprints 12" stitched banner and "Happy Trio"

Happiest of birthdays

Hello, everyone!  It's time for a new challenge from the Creative Moments Challenge blog.  This challenge we have an inspiration photo for you to use:

We have two sponsors for this challenge: Hetty Claire and MIRTILLAMENTE.  I am using an image from MIRTILLAMENTE.

 Here is my card:
I printed out the image in a nice, large size so it could really be the star of the show!!  I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and then colored the image with  my Spectrum Noir markers.  I stamped the two part sentiment with two different color inks to add a bit more interest.  I added silver rhinestones to the "berries" in the image and then scattered a few more around the panel to finish everything off.

You have all month to play along.  So, get inky and link up your creation; I can't wait to see what you create!

Supplies:
Stamps: MIRTILLAMENTE "Flowerz Moon" digi image; Craftin' Desert Divas "
Dies: MFT "Blueprints 13" stitched rectangle

Blessings

Happy Friday!!!  It's time for a new challenge from the Cut It Up Challenge Blog.  This week, the challenge is: Ribbons and Bows

Here is my card for your inspiration:
Hopefully, we are far enough removed from Christmas that this doesn't send you into tizzy!  It was mostly inspired by the ribbons.  Every piece of ribbon on this card was in my bits and pieces stash and the colors brought to mind a pack of Christmas paper, and there you go.  The background paper was already trimmed to size--I must have cut it for a different project and then decided it didn't work.  Both the sentiment panel and the black mat layer were cut from scraps so all around this is a scrap card!  I pulled out a beautiful Christmas sentiment set from Verve and some looooooong forgotten silver brads to finish everything off.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you will hop over to the Cut It Up blog for the full details of the challenge and to see what the rest of the Design Team has created. Bonus points (well, at least in my book) if you create a project using a die cut bow like some of my teammates did!

Supplies:
Stamps: Verve "Beyond Measure"
Dies: Verve "Classy Labels"

Challenges:
MFT Christmas--anything Christmas goes
Try Stampin' On Tuesday #604--sketch with the optional twist: brads/eyelet

Snippets Playground #453--anything goes using snippets
