Happy Friday!! It's time for another challenge from Jo's Scrap Shack. As always, we are now an Anything Goes challenge.
Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps:
I have not one, but two cards for you today. I spent a bunch of time last week piecing together some backgrounds with scraps that were all I had left of a Christmas paper pack I've had for a couple of years. So, I knew I wanted to use one of them for a Christmas card and went looking in my Bugaboo images to see what I had. When I came across this adorable little snowman, I knew I HAD to use him. Isn't he cute??
This card is all about scraps: the background, obviously, and his scarf was pieced from a scrap from the same paper pad, the ribbon was a piece I had lying around that was just long enough for the bow. The die cut circle was in my bits and pieces stash and the snowflake (which I die cut three times and layered together for dimension) was die cut from scraps of white card.I used my clear wink of stella pen to add glitter to the snow and around the edges of the snowman. I also brushed it on the snowflake for a bit of sparkle. Tough to see it in the photos unfortunately.
So, while I was looking for a Christmas image, I also came across this sweet puppy image that I hadn't used yet and decided it was too cute to pass up. And that's why I have two cards today.
Cute, right? The small green banner was in my bits and pieces stash and if you look closely, you can see it is dry embossed with dog prints; of course, I had to use it on this card. It was a little too small, so I cut it in half and placed each half where I wanted it, then covered up the gap with the image panel. And there's a fun little tip for you, free of charge, today. : )
