Fluttering By

This is another card that started out with a scrap of ribbon that I didn't end up using. : )  That ribbon has lavender, turquoise and green dots on it and was the inspiration for using this beautiful soft lavender ink.  But when I got it all finished, the white background of the ribbon was just two bland.  I had this green organza piece in my bits and pieces stash and it was the perfect combo between enough color and enough softness to match with the rest of the card.
I stamped the background with wild wisteria ink from SU!  I heat embossed the butterfly with white embossing powder and sponged the same wisteria ink over the image.  LOVE how it turned out.

Supplies:
Stamps: Skipping Stone Designs "Timeless Textures" background, "Victorian Summer" butterfly and "Dandelion Wishes" sentiment
Dies: MFT "Blueprints 13" stitched rectangle" and "Blueprints 12" stitched circle; Spellbinders "Teardrop Circles"

Challenges:
Di's Digis--use 2 or more dies

What a beautifully elegant card you created and it was such a joy to read your creative process! Isn't it funny how we can be inspired by something, but wind up in a totally different place by the end of the project?? Well, you ended up in a STUNNING place with this one. I love all of the lavender tones and the background is lovely. And you're right- the ribbon you ended up with is the perfect choice! Thanks for sharing your work with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

It's funny how that happens isn't it? Start with one idea in mind and end off somewhere different at the end. I love that about this hobby! I also love your gorgeous card! That lavender ink is so pretty and I really like how you sponged over the embossed butterfly. Thanks for joining us at SSD!

Fabulous creation! We are so blessed with your participation in our previous Challenge and would love to have you back for our current Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. I want to share with you the inspiration of God's Word from Habakkuk 2:3-4 and it says, " For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. “See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness---." Have an awesome week!
