Peaceful vista

Happy Wednesday!!  It's time for another challenge from The House That Stamps Built and this week it is a fan favorite: Anything Goes!! And here is the card I created for your inspiration:
The other morning, I was watching this video on Pinterest and was inspired to give it a try using some similar Repeat Impressions stamps.  It didn't turn out quite the same, specially since I added a sunrise to mine.  The scene just looked too blah without it.  I used this same vista image with a water coloring technique last month; it's fun how different the same image can look just by using different coloring techniques!  Here is the card from last month, if you missed it:
It really changes the look, too, based on where you place it on the card.  In the first card, I placed it more to the center and it brings the image closer, while in the second card, I stamped the image closer to the top of the panel which makes it look farther away.  Such a fun way to stretch your stamps!
Back to my card for this challenge, I matted my image panel with a very thin black mat and then onto a piece cut from an old encyclopedia page which was also matted with a very thin black mat before being added to the blue card base.  I added two narrow strips of black cardstock at an angle to my image panel to give a bit of interest.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you will hop over to the House blog to see the rest of the DT's creations and then get inky and play along with us.  And if you need any of the stamps I used, check out my 10% off your ENTIRE order coupon code over in my left sidebar.

Supplies:
Stamps: Repeat Impressions "Rocky Shore Vista", "Cattails", "Pine Branch", and "Sandcastle" (I used the birds only)
Dies: Spellbinders "A2 Matting Basics A" rectangle dies for the image; MFT "Blueprints 13" stitched rectangle die for the encyclopedia page

Challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge--anything goes

Love it!!! And really enjoyed the comparison from lst month with the watercolor. If I could think of more ways to use one stamp I probably wouldn't have as many stamps. LOL. Great job and love the hint of the sunrise.

WOW, you achieved two great looks from that wonderful stamp! I love the diagonal ribbons and print background for a great sunrise card! Love the soft watercolored look of the father's day card too! Great job on both!
