Happy new home

I started out making this card for a couple from our church that has moved away to a different state to be closer to their grandchildren.  But once I added the rolled flowers (which it really needed), it won't really be mailable.  Not to worry, though, because my cousin is also moving within the next month and I will be sending him a little gift, so this will fit in the box with no problems.  Since it is a little "girly" I will probably address it to him AND his wife. : )
This chair is the Lazy Paisley image from Squigglefly and I thought it was super cute when I got it.  But let me tell you, now that I highlighted the paisley design with a white gel pen, I LOVE it!  I wish I was better at taking pictures, because the colors on this card (and chair) are gorgeous together.  I use PTI's Ocean Tides cardstock which is a beautiful grayish green I can't even name.  But in the picture, it just looks gray, and it's NOT.  I sponged Ocean Tides ink on it trying to use a technique that totally didn't work--I think it's the wrong kind of ink) so it gives it a mottled, darker look.

Challenges:
DRS Designs #64--paper flowers
Frosted Designs: Fabulous Friday--scallops
Brown Sugar Challenges #35--flowers
Seems a Little Sketchy #36--sketch
Squigglefly #13--use liquid (I stamped the flourishes and then went over them with an SU! blender pen and chalks to create a watercolor look--also didn't come out quite how I had hoped)

Supplies:
Stamps: Squigglefly "Lazy Paisley" digi; Verve "Happy Thoughts" sentiments; Clear Dollar Stamps "Elegant Flourishes"
Dies/punches: spellbinders labels 4; Fiskars scalloped border punch; PTI "Turning a New Leaf" die
PTI Ocean Tides cardstock and dotted ribbon

Wow I love image! How smart to add the gel pen touches - I would love to have a chair like that in my house! Beautiful color choices and touches on this card. If rolled roses didn't add to the cost of mailing cards, I would cover my cards in them as they are my favorite handmade flower. Thanks so much for joining us in the Lovely Liquids Challenge at Squigglefly - Good luck!!!!!
