Happy Friday!!! It's time for a new challenge from the Cut It Up Challenge Blog. This week, the challenge is: Masculine
Here is my card for your inspiration:
This theme is perfect for this time of year with Father's Day just around the corner (or in a couple of days, in fact). This is the card I created for my father for Father's Day. An easy layout made easier by these beautiful papers. For a little fun, I made this a gatefold card. For a little extra fun, I stamped a sand dollar image in a light turquoise ink behind the sentiment. It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but it adds just enough in real life.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will hop over to the Cut It Up blog for the full details of the challenge and to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.
Supplies:
Stamps: PaperTrey Ink "Father and Mother" sentiments; Repeat Impressions "Sand Dollar"
Dies: unbranded circle die from Amazon
Challenges:
Cards Galore #136--anything goes
Crafty Calendar--Add a sentiment
Creative Inspirations--one for the boys
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 #169 (retro sketch)--sketch
613 Avenue Create--anything goes with the optional twist: for the guys
Aud Sentiments #326--fun fold AND/OR summer
Creative Creases #104--anything goes with more than one fold
Word Power--sentiment as the focus
Fab n' Funky Challenge #618--use your die cuts
Word Art Wednesday #702-703--anything goes with uplifting sentiment
Penny's Challenge #598--anything goes
Double Trouble #193--My Guy (Things #1: 3 layers, 2 patterned papers, 1 kraft paper)
Cardz 4 Guyz #374--seashells (on the smaller piece of patterned paper and the sand dollar behind my sentiment)
As You Like It--Favorite: use a sentiment or without words (I add a sentiment 99% of the time. Usually I am making a card for a specific reason/person and therefore, I know what the card will be used for and can add it at the time. My cards don't feel complete without a sentiment.)

Great Father's day sentiment panel against the scene background and love how you incorporated a fun fold card with our challenge. Thanks for sharing your handsome masculine card with us at Double Trouble.

What a great Father's Day card, Heather! I love the fun fold (of course) but the background papers are wonderful and the sentiment is the best! I will be checking that one out. Heather, this is such a wonderful card and beautiful saying. I love all the blues in it. I didn't notice the sand dollar until you mentioned it, but I can see now that it adds a lot of the feel of the card. I like the brads too. I agree with you that a card doesn't feel complete without a sentiment. Thanks so much for linking up with us at Word Art Wednesday. We appreciate your talents!
Beautiful card. Thank you for joining us at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge. Greetings Sylvia DT.
A beautifully designed Father's Day Card & lovely sentiment! The sand dollar image behind saying is really clever too. Thank you for sharing your card with us @ 613 Avenue Create.
