Fun fold

This week I have the honor of being a guest designer for Creative Creases Challenge!!  It is an anything goes challenge as long as you use more than one fold.  Today, I created an easel card:

My  youngest daughter takes violin lessons, so I created this card to give to her teacher along with a small gift.  This may be the very first time I have used this stamp, so I was excited to get it inked up!
As I mentioned, I created an easel card and matted the sentiment on the inside to give the easel part a place to stand up.  I rarely make cards like this, but it is a pretty simple way to make a card a little bit extra special!!  All I did was cut an A2 card base and scored the front at the 2 1/8 mark (which is really easy if you have a score board).  Then I cut an A2 panel and adhered it to the part of the base closest to the card opening making sure to only put glue from the edge until the middle score.  Easy peasy!  I finished everything off with a beautiful little poinsettia and some gold pearls, both of which I got at Hobby Lobby.

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Trey Ink "Rhythm & Soul" violin; Verve "Peace on Earth" outside sentiment and "Beyond Measure" inside sentiment

Challenges:
Sparkles #167--feature a Christmas song or carol (I used "Silent Night")
Cards Galore #130--anything goes

613 Avenue Create--anything goes with the optional twist: any winter holiday

Cupcake Inspiration #608--add a bow and/or ribbon

Creative Fingers #291--anything goes

Your winter/Christmas card is amazing. Not only is easel a lovely card shape, I absolutely love the colour scheme you've chosen for your project. The natural colours give such a cosy feeling, and the motifs couldn't be more perfect for the season: great choice of papers, poinsettia and pearls, and - last but not least - the violin combined with the text of a Christmas classic. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

Hugs, Veronika
