Flower Power Backgrounds & Borders--New Release

I created two cards using this new set, and if I had had enough time, I would have created a lot more!  I love this background stamp and there are so many different ways to use it.  Here is my first card:

 I used a type of spotlight technique.  I started out by embossing the entire background with black embossing powder.  Then I stamped just a portion of it and also heat embossed that with black.  (In person, it adds a lot of shine and texture.)  I cut it into a narrow strip and colored up the flowers, using colors that would coordinate with this gorgeous seam binding I had already decided I wanted to use.  I die cut two tiny scalloped borders and added them behind the strip and then adhered the whole thing to the background, lining it up as best I could.  As this is going to be an anniversary card for my sister and her husband, I added a little tag with the word love (from RI's "Love Stencil") and a tiny silver heart charm.  Nice and easy, but so bold and beautiful!
For my second card, I used the Border image from the set:

I started out by embossing the frame with gold embossing powder on vellum so I could create the Stained Glass effect.  I colored the image from the back and in real life, it is soooo beautiful.  I die cut the center of the frame with a circle die to give me a place to stamp the sentiment, and then adhered the vellum to a piece of white card stock.  This one is pretty CAS so I could let that stamp shine.
