Happy Thanksgiving

I don't make to many Thanksgiving cards; I've just never gotten into the habit.  But the last couple of years I have been sending one to my Grandmother, because grandmothers are special (right?) and as I live 3 1/2 hours away from her I don't usually get to see her on Thanksgiving.  So, here's my card for her:
The Make it Monday Challenge from Papertrey Ink this week is to make your own plaid patterned paper.  This is the first time I had given it a try and I think I like how it came out.  The lighter "brown" stripes are actually supposed to be orange and I think I would have liked that color combo a bit better, but I only have the one orange ink and it looks brown, so what are you going to do?  The sentiment was also stamped in the same orange (that still looks brown).  Anyway, I think I will definitely try this technique again.

Challenges:
Love to Scrap Challenge #41--say it in color (sentiment must be in a color other than black)
Cuttin' & Stampin' #1--Thanksgiving
Word Art Wednesday #159--anything goes with uplifting sentiment
Paper Pretties #357--thanksgiving/be thankful
The Stamping Chef #56--anything goes
MFT #203--sketch
Print
CRAFT #286--inspiration photo (I was inspired by the green, orange, brown and white colors)

Time Out Challenge #19--embossing with sparkle (I hope sequins count as sparkle)
Frosted Designs--"thanks" with a twist: ribbon/trim, twine or washi tape
Brown Sugar #121--use 2 or more colors
Sister Act Card Challenge #83--anything goes
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Wonderful Wednesday--anything goes
Treasured Times #29--anything goes
Sentimental Sundays #234--heartfelt thanks
One Stitch at a Time #224--giving thanks
Make it Monday #190--stamping a plaid background

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI "Distressed Stripes"; Verve "Tall Oaks"
Darice Woodgrain embossing folder
