Sitting Cardinal

Happy Wednesday!!  It's time for another challenge from The House That Stamps Built.  This week we have a fun Tic Tac Toe board for you:

Here is what I created for your inspiration:
I chose the very first column: ribbon, kraft red and white, stitching (I used a stitched rectangle die for the patterned paper panel.  I combined the cardinal image and the pine branch by doing some masking.  Then I colored the image and heat embossed some frantage powder around the edges of the panel.  I also added some around the red panel underneath it.  There is a bit of gold glitter in amongst the powder so I have a bit of sparkle, too!  I stamped the sentiment several times in a nice dark black ink and accented it with a couple red pearls.  Since I have a tree branch, I have used all of the elements from the board, except candy and gift bag or box.  I love Tic Tac Toe challenges; they are basically "create your own" challenges.  They're so fun!
Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you head on over to The House blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has done with this photo.  And if you "need" any of the stamps I used, check out my 10% off your entire order coupon code over in my lift sidebar.

  1. Great job on the masking - love the cardinal sitting on the pine branch. We have "resident" cardinals at our bird feeder that have been here for a long time. Great TTT card for this challenge.

  7. Oh, Heather...this might be my favorite this week! We have a Cardinal 'couple' that are living in a bush right outside my kitchen window. It's so much fun to watch them. Thanks for sharing this delightful card!
