And here is the card I created:
I started with the Marquee frame embossed in with a gold tinsel embossing powder and stamped the Peace sentiment in the middle in a dark brown. At first, I had stamped, colored and fussy cut just the two pinecones and the bow on the left side, but it seemed to need a little something more, so I added a third pinecone. I think it definitely helps to balance things out. The pinecones gave it a rustic feel, so I chose some paper to match and matted that with gold glitter paper to match the embossed frame. And then I added some gold eyelets (yes, they still exist! At least in my stash!)

So elegant and beautiful, like how you used the pinecones!

ReplyDeleteLovely card, Heather and great way to use a frame. I am chuckling at the sight of those eyelets. It always reminds me of when Donna Downy made a mini album and on one of the pages added some eyelets. But then afterwards noticed she had placed one of the eyelets on her son's private parts in a photo on the back of the or next page. OOPS! Yes, she published it anyway and said "I'm bringing eyelets back, Baby!" LOLOL That would be quite a feat were she really have been able to do that. Lord knows we all have our weight in them in our stash, right? xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely creation, Heather! Beautiful die cutting, and the gold elements behind look especially festive! hugs, de
