Glitzy Birthday

A new month has arrived and that means a new challenge from the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog.  This month's challenge is Anything Goes.  Our fabulous sponsor is DRS Designs.

And here is the card I created:

Ooo . . . this is so full of sparkle and shine!  I used a glittery gold paper for the base layer and some pretty floral paper for the second layer.  I cut an oval out of both layers to create a frame around the image.  The sentiment was stamped on a scrap paper strip; all I had to do was trim the end into a fish tail.  The brown "flower" was created by adhering together two die cuts that were in my bits and pieces stash.  I finished it off with a sparkly blue brad.  Then I finished everything off with some blue rhinestones.
