This is my attempt at a water colored scene. For my first attempt, I'm relatively pleased. The last two years when my mother-in-law and I have attended the Stamp And Scrapbook Expo, we've watched the water color demonstration at the ART Impressions Stamps booth. They make it look so easy and fun!! Since then, I've watched a couple of their Water color Wednesday videos and was inspired to try my hand at it. I used some water based markers for the images (just cheap ones that I've had for a really long time) and some gelatos for the water and sky.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will hop over to the House blog to see the rest of the DT's creations and then get inky and play along with us. And if you need any of the stamps I used, check out my 10% off your ENTIRE order coupon code over in my left sidebar.

ReplyDeleteWow, Heather!!!! You did a beautuiful job with this scene and your watercoloring is gorgeous! For a first time, girl, you rocked it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty spring scene you have created - and with watercolors. I fall real short when it comes to watercolors, I think I want to make it perfect and watercolors just don't work that way. Really like your little purple flowers.

The soft water colored look of this scene is soothing and serene! I love the birds in the sky along with the lily pads in the water. Paired with that wonderful sentiment, this card is just stunning!
