Birthday Flowers

Happy Friday!!  It's time for another challenge from Jo's Scrap Shack.  As always, we are now an Anything Goes challenge and our sponsor for the week is Sparkle N Sprinkle

And here is the card I created:
This is such a beautiful image and the file also comes with a single bloom and two sentiments, plus the images in color.  For this card, I used the uncolored main image.  I just haven't dared use a pre-colored image yet.  I did some outside the box fussy cutting for the main image.  Love that technique!

What do you need to do to enter?

  3. Beautiful coloring and just the right sketch challenge for this image, and your fussy-cutting outside the oval is excellent, and I love this technique too. Thanks for sharing again with us at Double Trouble, and even with the layering you might be a candidate for an out-of-the-box sketch #302 for AHSC...think about it.

I too have been hesitant to use pre-colored; and I think in the years I've been doing cards I have only done it once. I did a floral that I layered different parts for a great dimensional and needed the coloring of several of the same image, which was a lot of work in itself deciding which parts of the flower were the next layer...so I may do it again. Ummmm that sounds good to me I think it may be time to do another one...lol.

  5. Very nice coloring of the image. I used a pre-colored image before when I wasn't going anywhere with my coloring of the image. I felt I was not giving justice to the beautiful image supplied by the challenge sponsor so I treated the pre-colored image as an embellishment. Thank you for sharing you creation with us @ Incy Wincy Designs Make It Girly Challenge. Good luck!
