Happy Wednesday!!! It's time for another challenge from The House That Stamps Built. As this is the first week of the month, we have a Designer's Choice Challenge and Joy has challenged us to use circles on our projects. This is the card I created:
I used a circle frame stamp to create a pattern all over the entire background using light gray, black and red inks. It took a bit of time but it did create a really fun pattern. I didn't want to cover it up (plus this is card for my brother-in-law, so no need for anything fancy), so I decided to give the eclipse technique a try. I drew a faint pencil line across the center of the card both vertically and horizontally and used those to line up my letter dies. I taped them in place with washi tape and ran it through my die cutting machine. I adhered the little center pieces back in with liquid glue and adhered the letters with foam tape for some fun dimension. Then I stamped the "birthday" stamp, which, in hindsight would have been easier to do BEFORE adhering the letters.I finished everything off with some matching enamel dots, which are also more circles. This was a really fun challenge; I hope you will play along with us. Make sure you stop by the House Blog to see how the rest of the team interpreted this challenge.

ReplyDeleteI know you explained in detail how you created this but my mind won't wrap around the technique at all! LOL It probably just looks more complicated than it really is?! I do love what I'm seeing with all the baseballs! NJ!
