Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another challenge from The House That Stamps Built. And this week it is a fan favorite: Anything Goes. I have to admit, I am often running behind and this week I was true to form, and was so glad it is an anything goes challenge! Since I was so behind, I decided to go with a monochromatic color scheme (white and gray) and leave my image uncolored. I think it created a really elegant, masculine card, which is good because I need to send out a masculine card this week. Here is my card:
I added a torn edge along the bottom (something I haven't done in ages!) to give it interest and texture without having to add any additional layers. I also added texture with the twine and the stitched rectangle die. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week, I can't wait to see what you come up with!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Repeat Impressions "Bass Harbor Light (lg)" and "Birthday"
Dies: MFT "Blueprints 13" stitched rectangle

I like the simple and sophisticated style of your card.
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful masculine card. This image truly stands alone. Love the torn edge I remember doing that a lot a few years ago. Great card.
ReplyDeleteVery elegant and sophisticated, like the extra touches of the twine, stitched layer and torn edge to this image that is elegant by itself.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great masculine card, Heather! I love the addition of the torn edge and twine!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful masculine card - love the clean and simple lines of this.

Love the scene in black and white...makes me regret all the times I didn't purchase an image because I was intimidated by the challenge of coloring it. The torn edge is a great design element.
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!
