We're back!

Happy Friday!! After a long break for the holidays, we are back at Jo's Scrap Shack with a new challenge for you.  As always, we are now an Anything Goes challenge and our sponsor for the week is The Cutting Cafe.

I was given the "Skinny Tube Box Set" to work with.  This is a fabulous box template!  I comes with two sizes each with a plain version and a version with circle windows as well as one with heart windows.  I chose the larger size and opted for the plain version as I wanted to use some patterned paper.  My box measures about 1 1/4" square (though two sides are actually a tiny bit wider) and about 5 inches tall.  The actual template is almost the full length of an 8x11 inch sheet of cardstock, but I wanted a shorter version, so I cut the template in half heightwise.  It also comes with two lid choices; I chose the larger lid.  I am going to give this to my good friend whose been having a bit of stress in her life lately and could use a little pick me up.  I filled it with Dove dark chocolates, but didn't have any at the time I took the picture, so I added some peanut m&m's for props.  I also figured it would give a little idea of the size of the box.
The color scheme for this box started with the "friend" tag that was sitting on my desk as part of my 'bits and pieces' stash.  Then I went looking for some ribbon and discovered this purplish blue seam binding that I've had forever and have a hard time using as it is a unique shade.  But, it is gorgeous and I was so happy to be able to find some patterned paper that went well with it.
That cute little patterned yellow heart was in my bits and pieces stash, too.  I wanted to add a little detail to the top of the lid and had a jeweled brad in my stash (been there for a LONG time) that was just perfect.  Now just to figure out what to do with the rest of the brads in that set, they're just a little bit for a card.
And one more shot of this adorable little box:
