Special

Here's another creation from our big snow day on Thursday!  12 inches of snow, so it was a good day to spend the afternoon crafting.  I managed to get almost all of my Valentine's Day cards made.
And with this one, I was able to use up some long (and a couple really short) thin scraps from my favorite paper pack that is almost used up.  I think it turned out pretty cute and it was pretty quick, too, which is a bonus.

Supplies:
Stamps: Verve "Take Note" sentiment
Dies: MFT "Blueprints 13" stitched rectangle and "Pierced Heart STAX"
Cuttlebug embossing folder

Challenges:
Stick it Down--sketch

Southern Girls--3 or more design papers
Mod Squad--Let me see your text(urize)
Penny's #315--anything goes
Addicted To Stamps--holiday (Valentine's Day)
Creative Craft #81--anything goes
Pixie's Crafty Workshop #267--anything goes with snippets
Dies R Us #61--hearts
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper--anything goes with patterned paper
Unicorn #18--butterflies and/or hearts

  1. I love the fresh, spring-like colours you've used, a really refreshing change from all the red and pink around at this time of year

  4. Snow I wish, it's summer here in New Zealand and at present it's hot and humid, on those day's and nights I wish we got snow. I have trouble sleeping at the best of time let alone on humid muggy nights. Love your card Heather and what a great idea using up all those scraps that we all love of our favourite design paper pads. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge and good luck.

  16. I love it when negative space is used. I thought at first that you filled it with Washi, which gave me an idea, but like it even better that you got to use tiny scraps of beautiful paper that would have otherwise been thrown away. Trash to treasure, and it's beautiful to boot!

Thanks for using our sketch as inspiration for your card!
