Phew, with that out of the way, I have two projects to share with you today using the new "Flower Power Separates" stamps.  The first is a Mother's Day card for my Mother-in-Law:
Her favorite colors are purple and green, so that was the starting point for my card.  I created my own background starting with the solid bloom image, then I stamped the outline version slightly offset to create a fun sketched look.  I did the same with the leaves (stamping off first for the solid image so it would be lighter).  Then I stamped the smaller outline image in a darker purple.  I also stamped RI's Music Background in a light gray to give some texture and interest.  I embossed it with a canvas embossing plate to add more texture, but it's very hard to see.  I created the focal flowers by stamping the outline image directly over its matching solid image and then shading the center of the flower with a purple marker.

The second card I created is a Mother's Day card for my Grandmother.  Her favorite color is yellow, so once again, I started from there.
This time, I stamped the flowers in versamark and heat embossed with white powder, then I inked the flowers darker in the center and fading to the outer edges.  I love the soft, delicate look this gives.  Thanks for stopping by.  If you haven't already, make sure you check out the previous days' projects and don't forget to stop by The House blog again tomorrow for the final day of sneak peeks.
