Father's Day

Hello, everyone!  It's time for a new challenge from the Creative Moments Challenge blog.  The theme is: Men and Boys--Let's see those masculine makes!!  I am using an image from our fabulous sponsor: Mirtillamente.

 Here is my card:
I created a father's day card for my Father-in-law using this yummy cheeseburger and fries image.  I used a few things from my bits and pieces stash--namely all the red stars.  The stars inspired me to use a star embossing folder for the background.  And I was able to use some scraps of red patterned paper that I have had for 20+ years!!  For the bubbles rising out of the soda, I added some glossy accents to the image to give it a realistic look.  You can see the shine in the photo below:

I finished off the inside with a sentiment and then added the remaining three stars from my bits and pieces stash and a strip of red card stock that I had trimmed off a previous card and it had just been sitting on my desk.  I LOVE using things up!!  And even better when you can create a fabulous card with those things!

You have all month to play along.  So, get inky and link up your creation; I can't wait to see what you create!

Supplies:
Stamps: Mirtillamente "Bollicine" digi; PaperTrey Ink "Father and Mother"
Dies: My Favorite Things "Blueprints 13" stitched rectangle; Verve large star; Stamps of Life small stars
Paper Lane star embossing folder

Challenges:
Double Trouble #192--sun fun (Thing #1: 3 torn edges, 2 colors {red and black}, 1 die cut/punch/ephemera)
As You Like It--favorite type of embossing (do love the magic of heat embossing, but dry embossing is also magical and so much easier and less messy.  So, I prefer dry embossing)
Crafty Catz #694--anything goes with the optional twist: make us smile (who doesn't smile at the thought of a burger and fries)
Creative Fingers #322--anything goes

Cards Galore #136--anything goes
Creative Inspirations--one for the boys
Paper Funday #77--anything goes: embossing heat AND/OR dry
613 Avenue Create--anything goes with the optional twist: for the guys
Fab n' Funky Challenge #618--use your die cuts
The Paper Shelter #641--anything goes with the optional twist: masculine
Penny's Challenge #598--anything goes

  4. Wow, your Father's Day card is so brilliantly put together using a bunch of embellishments that had been buried in your stash. You certainly enhanced our 3-2-1 recipe and the embelishments did not lose the interpretation of our TSOT sketch. Thanks for sharing your enhanced recipe with us and please share your fun card with TSOT as well. I'm heading over to McDonalds.
