I don't know much about Australia, so I decided to try the masking option of this challenge. I haven't done much of it and found it is not quite as easy as it looks. But actually, it came out well for the first try. Thanks for checking it out.
Unfortunately, this card did not photograph well. The gold embossing powder creates a glare; so it isn't as pretty as in real life. I chose to go with jewel tones and the gold embossing to recreate the look of the beautiful India fabrics. And notice my green brad "bindis". I thought they were cute.
This is the card I made for the Japan challenge. I went for simple and clean. The pink reminds me of cherry blossoms and I softened the edges by using my corner rounder.
Here is my card for the challenge about Mexico. I created "tiles" in the bright bold colors of Mexico and layered them on more bright colors. The ribbon reminds me of the the pleats in the colorful skirts worn by the women. And "Celebrate" brings in the fiesta feeling.
